Abstract

Optical waveguides in Y-cut LiNbO 3 were obtained in different technological regimes, resulting in a variety of phases composing the proton-exchanged layer. Mode spectra measurements, infrared absorption and Raman spectra recording were performed after creation of the samples, and also after a period of ten years. The phase composition was estimated, and some conclusions are made concerning the stability of such waveguides..
